Field Services Division

Field Services Division

The Field Services Division, under the leadership of Lieutenant Eric M. Hendrickson Jr., is responsible for providing round-the-clock coverage for the City of Fairlawn. It is divided into three shifts, ensuring that there is always an officer available to respond to emergencies and enforce the law. The division is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the community at all times.

Officers in the Patrol Division have the responsibility of meeting the needs of citizens who seek assistance, service, or information. Their primary objective is to ensure the safety of both residents and visitors of our city, creating a secure environment. Patrol officers work diligently to achieve this goal by addressing the concerns and requests of individuals in a prompt and efficient manner.

Our officers are continuously participating in continuing education programs and training to enhance their skills and knowledge. This allows them to be proficient in their specialized assignments such as Safety Town, Summit Metro Crash Team, Summit Metro S.W.A.T, and the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, in addition to their regular patrol duties.
