The Residential Housing Assistance Board is a public board that assists eligible residents in obtaining reimbursements and financial assistance for certain housing-related expenses. The Board does this through the Residential Housing Reimbursement Program and the Residential Housing Rehabilitation Financial Assistance Program.
The Board is composed of at least ten members who are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. The Board includes representatives from various groups such as financial institutions, nonprofit and for-profit builders, real estate brokers, professionals knowledgeable about rental housing and fair housing issues, residents who might receive assistance, and members from the Real Property Maintenance Board, Fairlawn City Council, and the City of Fairlawn Administration.
