Attention Residents and Businesses - The City of Fairlawn is pleased to announce that the fixed rates for the electric and natural gas aggregation programs are still available. Current customers do not need take any action to remain in the program.
Residents may have received a letter from Ohio Edison mentioning a switch to Dynegy. Letters were also sent clarifying that if Dynegy was your supplier they will continue to be through May 2025. The rate continues to be $.0497/kWh. The Public Utilities Commission requires communities to send letters at least every three years notifying customers about the electric aggregation program.
Residents that enroll in the program supplied by Constellation will pay a competitive fixed rate of $3.59 per Mcf for all gas consumed through October 2025 bill cycle.
Mayor Russell Sharnsky said, "We are pleased to have been able to secure these competitive rates for our residents and businesses. The rates compare very favorably to what residents can obtain on their own at this time and provide for price certainty and security through next year.”
