Fire Prevention Bureau

The Fairlawn Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for fire and life safety inspections, construction/change of occupancy plan reviews, and public education in the City of Fairlawn. The bureau is under the direction of Lieutenant/Fire Marshall Dwayne Marty who oversees Fairlawn's state-certified fire inspectors. The inspectors are responsible for annual fire safety inspections in commercial buildings and acquiring building pre-plan information.
