Notifications

Emergency Notifications

The City has implemented a mass notification system that is able to send emergency messages via telephone, cellular phone, and/or e-mail to residents and businesses. This system may be used by emergency response personnel to notify specific homes and businesses at risk with specific information about the emergency event. You will only be notified when the associated address will be affected by an emergency.

About the Service
CivicReady is a mass notification system that the City utilizes to keep you informed about critical and important events within the community. The notification system will be used to disseminate important messages regarding the safety or welfare of the community. Examples would include Emergency Alerts, lost children or seniors, and hazardous situations that impact the safety, property or welfare of our community. This service allows City officials to send out emergency notifications by phone, text, email and other contact methods to thousands of residents within minutes.

The system is already programmed with landline phone numbers (both listed and unlisted) from phone company records. However, it cannot contact your cellular phone, VoIP phone or email address unless you give us your contact information and your permission. To ensure that you receive these warnings you will need to fill out the form below with your e-mail, cellular phone, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone.

Notify Me

In addition to emergency notifications, you can also choose to opt-in to receive time-sensitive non-emergency notifications about community events, activities, and important updates. Those who opt-in to receive non-emergency messages may choose whether to receive messages by phone, email, text messaging, or any combination thereof.
