The City Naturalists are proud to offer a variety of nature-based Cub Scout and Boy Scout programs. If you are interested in scheduling a Cub Scout or Boy Scout program call the Naturalist to discuss dates and further details 330-668-9518. All programs will take place at The Learning Resource Center at Fort Island/ Griffiths Park located at 413 Trunko Rd, Fairlawn, OH. We are willing to work with your troop to meet requirements for badges. Call to find out if it is something we can feasibly do with our resources.

Notes for Troop Leaders and Adults/Guardians:

  • Register early- most of our programs are planned months in advance so scheduling as early as possible allows us to be more flexible.
  • Troop Leaders are expected to attend all programming. Individually-registered Boy Scouts must also be accompanied at all times by an adult.
  • Age-appropriate activities are designed for Scouts only. We invite parents/guardians to enjoy our playground and explore our walking trails with siblings/non-participants while their Scouts are taking part in the program.
  • Follow Safety-Wise procedures and adhere to adult/child ratios.
  • The time listed is the starting time for the program. Arrive early to allow for check-in. Our programs start and end as scheduled, which may not allow for full completion of badge or patch requirements if late arrival delays the specified program start time.
