Yoga instructor Troy is in the process of obtaining his Registered Yoga Teacher Certification and will be bringing his knowledge to you beginning October 3rd!

Bring your own yoga mat - if you don't have one, don't fret! We will have extras on site.

When: Every Wednesday through May from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Where: Fairlawn Kiwanis Community Center (Lower Level)
Who: Adults Only
Cost: Fairlawn residents - 5-class card - $25 | 10-class card - $45
         Non-residents - 5-class card - $35 | 10-class card - $55

You must register ahead of time at www.activityreg.com. Registrants will receive their card at the first class. We are unable to accept registrations at the class.

Movie in the Park - Hocus Pocus  CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

Friday, October 12 at 7:00pm

The movie will be shown near the playground at Fort Island Park! We will have a campfire, s'mores, marshmallows, popcorn and other goodies so bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy a movie at the park! The movie will start at dark (~7:30pm). 

No registration required. No rain date.



Gingerbread House Making

Tuesday, December 11th 5:30pm-7:30pm
$5 per gingerbread house

Make your own graham cracker gingerbread house with all of your favorite candy! We will have all the basics, but you may bring your own special toppings if you wish! Santa may also be stopping by to visit!

Park & Recreation Board
The Park and Recreation Board shall serve as an advisory body to the Mayor. Its purpose is to offer suggestions, recommendations, participation and direction to the Division of Parks and Recreation and advise the Director of Parks and Recreation as to the goals, policies and direction of the Division, as developed by the Director or as otherwise set forth in the Charter of the City of Fairlawn. The board meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm.

Mission Statement
The mission of the City of Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department is to provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the residential, business and neighboring communities through a variety of recreational, educational, cultural and health-related activities and events. The goals of each activity and special events are to encourage individual, community, economic and environmental benefits in a safe, meaningful and healthy environment.
