Independence Day Parade

Wednesday, July 4 4:30 pm

The parade will step off from the St. Hilary parking lot at 4:30 pm, head west on W. Market Street and conclude in the 3320 W. Market Street parking lot (directly across from Summit Mall) where trophies will be handed out. Judging done by the American Judges Association.

Brass Band of the Western Reserve & Fireworks Display

Wednesday, July 4 5:30 pm

The Fairlawn Community Foundation and the City of Fairlawn are proud to announce that this year’s 4th of July celebration will begin with music and end with fireworks at Bicentennial Park, located at 3486 South Smith Road. The annual free outdoor concert will feature a two hour performance by Mick & Rick beginning at 5:00 pm, followed by the Brass Band of the Western Reserve at 8:00 pm. The fireworks begin at about 10:00 pm. Please be aware that fireworks may go off anytime between 7:30 and 10:30, weather permitting.

The Fairlawn City Women’s Club and several food trucks will be selling refreshments. The Copley Fairlawn City Schools Transportation Department will be running free school bus shuttles to and from Summit Mall to Bicentennial Park. The shuttle may be picked up beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of Macy’s.

Fairlawn Community Golf Day at Rosemont Country Club

Cost: $45.00/person (includes golf, cart and Italian dinner)

Tee Time: 10:00 am shotgun start Registration: begins at 9:00 am Dinner: 3:00 pm

Requirements: At least one member of each foursome MUST be a Fairlawn resident, work in the City of Fairlawn or be a Fairlawn Chamber Member and this person MUST BE PRESENT for the foursome to play on the day of the event. Park & Recreation Board
The Park and Recreation Board shall serve as an advisory body to the Mayor. Its purpose is to offer suggestions, recommendations, participation and direction to the Division of Parks and Recreation and advise the Director of Parks and Recreation as to the goals, policies and direction of the Division, as developed by the Director or as otherwise set forth in the Charter of the City of Fairlawn. The board meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm.

The mission of the City of Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department is to provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the residential, business and neighboring communities through a variety of recreational, educational, cultural and health-related activities and events. The goals of each activity and special events are to encourage individual, community, economic and environmental benefits in a safe, meaningful and healthy environment.
