Cancelled - Fairlawn Safety Town 2020

(Due to COVID-19 this program is cancelled for 2020)

Registration forms are now being accepted for both student and volunteers for Fairlawn Safety Town 2020!

(Due to COVID-19 this program is cancelled for 2020)

Safety Town is a five-day summer educational program that instructs children on crossing the street, school bus safety, 911, stranger danger, the work of police officers and firefighters, bicycle safety, good touch/bad touch and more. The serious subject of safety is combined with craft activities, songs and lots of fun. There is no fee to participate.

Due to the overwhelming response to Safety Town, we are limited to accepting only those children who will be starting kindergarten this fall in the Copley-Fairlawn School District, or those who reside in the City of Fairlawn. The Copley-Fairlawn School District includes Arrowhead Elementary School, Fort Island Elementary School, Herberich Elementary School and St. Hilary School.

Fairlawn Safety Town will be held this year from Monday, June 15, 2020 through Friday, June 19, 2020 at the Fairlawn Community Center (3486 S. Smith Rd.). There will be two sessions per day. The morning session will run from 9:00am until 11:30am each day and the afternoon session will run from 1:00pm until 3:30pm each day. Please note, session preferences are not guaranteed.

Safety Town Graduation for the morning session will be held on Friday, June 21, 2020 from 11:00am-11:30am. Graduation for the afternoon session will be held on Friday as well from 3:00pm-3:30pm.
